Brow Techniques
I currently offer full microblade, combination and ombrè brow services. Each technique can provide better healed results for certain clients, depending your skin type, age, & natural brow growth.
Touch-ups
Permanent makeup is designed to fade over time. Touch-ups are normal and expected!
- You NEED to let your pigment fade AT LEAST 50% before coming in for a touch-up.
- There are lots of things that can affect how soon you'll be ready for a touch-up, including which technique you choose, which pigment (darker or lighter), your skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, smoking, medications, how much you are in the sun, etc.
- I tell my clients to plan on a yearly touch-up, but lots of clients are able to go longer between touch-ups (I encourage you to go as long as possible)!

preparing for your appointment
2 WEEKS BEFORE:
- If you plan to get botox, make sure it's at least 2 weeks before (or 2 weeks after)
- If you tint your brows, make sure it's at least a week before your appointment.
- RETIN-A: Don't use any retin-a products on the brow for at least 2 weeks before.

48 HOURS BEFORE:
- Don't drink alcohol or caffeine
- Don't take any blood thinners (including ibuprofen)

DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:
- Don't exercise! It will increase your blood flow and could cause excessive bleeding.
- You might want to wash your hair before your appointment because you'll want to keep your brows from getting wet in the shower for a week after.
Client cannot be:
- Younger than 18
- Pregnant
- Nursing
- Currently on accutane (or for the previous 12 months)
- Sunburnt/freshly tanned face

which technique is best for me?
This is simply a guide to give you an idea of which technique would be best for you:

FULL MICROBLADE - Best for clients who have dry/normal skin, small pores, lots of natural brow hair already.
COMBINATION - Best for clients who have dry/normal skin, small pores, decent amount of brow hair but GAPS in your natural brow.
OMBRÈ - Best for clients who have oily skin, little to no brow hair, are older, or if you like your brows fuller/bolder.
after appointment
- Minor redness and swelling is normal and should go away within 24 hours.
- Your pigment will oxidize in the first 72 hours, making your brows appear bolder, darker, thicker, etc. This is usually when clients get nervous, but TRUST THE PROCESS!
- Flaking during the healing process is normal. Do NOT pick at the flakes! This can cause scarring and affect your healed results.
- Around day 10, flaking should stop and the brows will be lighter, but as they continue to heal over the next 3 weeks, the color should resurface.

aftercare
1. For 10 min after appointment, blot your brows every 30 seconds, with a clean tissue to remove lymph. If the oozing dries on your brows, it’ll create massive scabs, and your brows will peel and flake like crazy!
2. 1 hr after appointment (over sink, not in a shower!) you're going to:
- Wash your hands
- Get a TINY bit of soap and some water
- Wash gently in direction of hair. It’s a LIGHT swipe, just to help remove excess oil, oozing etc.
- RINSE THOROUGHLY. Cup your hands with water and rinse to make sure all soap is removed.
- Pat dry with clean paper towel
- Apply balm (TINY AMOUNT, NOT GOOPY) you will have enough left over for touchup if you're using it correctly. RICE GRAIN amount will cover BOTH brows. NOT rice grain on each.
3. Repeat #2 morning and night for 10 days
4. Do NOT get brows wet other than washing OUTSIDE of shower. This includes shower, sweating, sauna, hot tub, ETC.
5. No direct sunlight for 2 weeks
6. NO MAKEUP, LOTION, FACE WASH, SERUMS, SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, etc can touch brows for 2 weeks. After that, avoid all products directly on brows that include active ingredients (acne or anti aging products)
7. NO picking or scratching at flakes/scabs.
8. DO NOT sleep on face!
